Mikroelektronika would be providing AFC system for Lucknow in India

A consortium comprising a Czech company Mikroelektronika and an Indian firm Datamatics Global Services Limited have been awarded the contract for providing the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system for the North-South corridor of Lucknow Metro.

India's Datamatics Global Services Limited and Mikroelektronika from Czech would be providing both the software and hardware for ticket vending machines, ticket operating machines, smart card top up machines, fare collection entry and exit gates to the Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation. LMRC said the contract has been awarded to the consortium for about Rs 64 crores ($10 million).
